I look about at what I see and think I that should feel so very glad
But somewhere deep inside a piece of me is sad
I look at where I’ve travelled from, the deep north mines
And al it is of family homes and village ties
With all who know of where you are and what you do and where you been and do
I now look at me and see no small town girl in a big country world and a smile it comes across the face
The glow emits a radiant shine that warms the hearts of all
She knows how to love and care for me
As she sits and thinks how proud I am of thee
You have achieved
You’ve changed your life
You’ve changed your fate
And destine has given you a goal of which you’re yet to find
But still just stop and think and look and see what you’ve become
And still to know there is more to come
I sit and think how proud I am of thee
No small town girl could come so far without the ideals of big ideals and reams
I’ve turned this girl and world around
And know that when I say just look at what’s’ become of me
How proud I am of thee
comes before a fall
